Madam Darkshade Continued

My most Despicable Marah,

I heard that that enemy has already found him a prized pupil within the congregation. This cannot be overlooked. This scrupulous creature has been trying to keep their spirits afloat and encourage them to stay focused on their real enemy. He dares try to unmask and expose us!

You cannot avoid him any longer. You must make him believe that his efforts are futile, falling on deaf ears. Get him to see that to try to uplift those mindless grungies would only drag himself down. He must think that he is too good for such fools and can certainly be used elsewhere.

I know you, Marah, and you are most certainly focusing your efforts too much on that fool who declared himself as leader of the pack. Let him be. You would be surprised at how long pride can impact and influence a grungy. To them, it is an insatiable leech that assuredly consumes peace and contentment.

I cannot stress it enough. Do not allow light to be shared among the congregation! If you are unable to get that wretched joy bringer to leave, then play upon his weaknesses. Just as an untreated wound brings about infection, so with the right temptations, you can and hinder his testimony and render him useless within the congregation.

How, you may ignorantly wonder? Coddle him with thoughts of self pity. Let him be like that ugly, bearded prophet who hid in fear from the delightfully diabolical queen. Depression and self pity laid heavy on him as he whined over his failures and how no one else was serving that enemy. It was a wonderful sight. Get this man to believe that he is alone in trying to unify the congregation. He is the only one who cares about that enemy's will. Few realize that pride and self pity are two sides of the same coin. Understand that countless grungies have fallen into a deadly despair, not because of arrogant confidence, but because of egotistic sympathies.

Your Most Radiant and
Shrewd Grandmother,

Madam Darkshade

Wanderers

One night I dreamed of a massive crowd aimlessly wandering through an empty town I tried to stop several people as they passed by But they paid me no heed, as If deaf and blind Finally I happened upon a somber, yet curious lad He asked me, “What brings you to the Town of Misled?” I said, “I'm not sure how I got here, nor for what reason.” “Well then” The boy smirked without hesitation “You're in good company alright, for we are all met with the same plight. Our vision is impaired, our understanding is empty. Indeed we are stuck in endless mediocrity.” Once more I looked around at all the hollow expressions Then stared back at the tattered boy with deep compassion “What can I do to help you and all of these poor souls? Perhaps some money for food, a strong education, and fine clothes?” The boy began to cry, while shaking his head “You don't get it sir, we already have plenty we possess. Our needs lie not in material wealth and f...

FANATICS

In Carthage, there has been a lot of talk lately over the High School's new Big Screen in the Football Stadium. It is one of the largest HS Football Screens in America. There was an interesting article about it on Yahoo sports. It costs roughly around $750,000. Statistically, around forty percent of people in Carthage claim to be Baptists (Not just Christian, but Baptist). Yet, I find it so amazing how many people here idolize sports, paticularly Baseball and Football. I am certainly not seeking to piously condemn the whole city. I enjoy many types of sports, but I pray my enjoyment and fun for them never turns to an ever-increasing fixation. Instead of the screaming fan on the sidelines whose face paint is slowly dripping off with a mixture of sweat, I consider myself to be the guy who gives a couple of approving grunts and simply tips his hat, when the game is over. What about you?...

My most despicable Marah, The abyss of my heart has grown beyond measure! Everything your sister has told me about your efforts - how undeniably successful they are - is just another reminder as to why I always saw myself in you. So, that foolish grungy has finally declared himself as bishop. Naturally, during their meeting, there was tremendous conflict and a choosing of sides. Classic. It reminds me of the struggle at Corinth, when so many fought over who was on Paul's side and who was on Apollos' side. Of course, you are much too young to know what I am referring to! Now, I must remind you that there is still much work to be done. Divide and conquer. The ecclessia is split, therefore, waste no time instilling pride and hatred. I know you are enticing our self exalted puppet to start his own assembly, which is good, but before he does, through slander and lies, he must cripple those who withstood him. Make him feel betrayed. As if he were a great captain who ...
